Conveyancing Disputes
Dispute resolution and litigation services
If a landlord and a tenant cannot resolve a dispute on their own, which is often the case, the matter can be taken to the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT). The CTTT is an independent decision making body which considers and determines applications from landlords and tenants. The CTTT is intended to be a quick, effective, inexpensive, and relatively informal way of resolving consumer, trader and tenancy disputes and capable of making enforceable orders.
The CTTT deals with issues such as:
• rental bond and other residential tenancy issues
• finance and credit matters
• rent increases and park rule changes in residential parks
• disputes concerning strata schemes including appeals against adjudicators’ decisions
• house construction and home extensions. Our conveyancing solicitor can assist with applications in the CTTT.
Another service that we offer is assistance in mediations. Mediation is an informal negotiation process in which a neutral mediator assists those involved in a dispute to achieve a settlement. We have assisted clients previously in successful mediations.
We also provide a wide range of litigation services. We have acted for clients in local courts, family courts, district courts, supreme courts, federal courts and a range of other tribunals.
